Apple Iphone 16 Series Launch Fake News Stirs Internet

Apple is anticipated to unveil its next iPhones in September, continuing its annual tradition since the release of the iPhone 5, except for a slight delay in 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic. While the exact date is still unclear, a recent report that claimed to have the release date turned out to be a hoax. Here’s a breakdown of what really happened and the verified information.

The Leaked Persona

Majin Bu, a well-known leaker, posted on X claiming to have a leaked invitation to Apple’s next event, where the iPhone 16 would be revealed. While it was evident that the invitation was fake, some elements within it were convincing enough to spark interest.

The Fake Invite

Following the leak, a mock-up of the purported Apple event invite surfaced, which @lorevfx later admitted on X to have created. They noted, “Fun fact: I made the ‘leaked’ Apple Event invite in less than 10 minutes using Figma and an AI-generated texture. I sent it to the leaker just because I was bored.” Majin Bu, acknowledging the trick, responded with a touch of humor: “I appreciate your effort though. If you need someone for graphics, contact this guy.”

Despite its impressive appearance, the invite was not genuine. Apple carefully manages its event materials, making it highly improbable for a real invite to be leaked.

What’s Plausible

Even though the invite was a hoax, certain elements seemed somewhat credible. The tagline “Ready. Set. Capture.” might suggest a new Capture button for the iPhone 16 series, though this could be a bit too specific. Additionally, the inclusion of a bronze color aligns with predictions of a new shade for the iPhone 16 Pro.

Keynote Date

You might be curious about the keynote date. There’s widespread speculation that it will be held on Tuesday, September 10, based on the invite details.

While this date seems plausible, it’s not guaranteed. The strong focus on September 10 actually introduces some uncertainty. The actual announcement date may still vary.

Release Date

The release date for the new iPhone is likely fixed for Friday, September 20. However, the keynote could be scheduled for either a day before or a few days after the widely anticipated September 10. We are getting to know soon.
